i just made a new putfile account. i lost my password to my old account and havent got any emails from putfile, so i created a google vid account. google vid is taking to long to verify the 2 vids so i just made a new putfile account and it uploaded the 2 vids within 20 mins.
old set up my friend was revving my car (this is just a magnaflow muffler only) new setup i edited out the first 10 seconds cuz i had my lic plate # in the vid. my friend (he has a 98.5 1.8t a4) was driving my car and he said my clutch is way different then his since his is stock (this is the 3" forge exhaust) so thats why he wasnt shifting right my car does pull stronger with the forge exhaust over just the muffler that i use to have. thanx rob for the exhaust. i'm still having clearance issue where the hanger in front of the res muffler -------------------- sig courtesy of 4Rings Newest mod: custom taillights (thanks ShadY12v), TZ Series South Bend Clutch, PES G1 S/C kit with VDO boost gauge (thanks fussball), S4 injectors, ECS adjustable FPR with gauge, 3" S4 Forge exhaust (thanks Rob), Bell Intercooler, H-Sport Sways, upgraded front sway link and metal rear sway link I finished the S/C install (with the help of 4Rings (good thing I have free long distance on my cell) on some issues that I had)) on November 3, 2005 with about 120,385 miles (didn't exactly write the exact milage down) and I love this car even more! I used quite a few to space. Think I used about 4-5 nuts to space it. Play with the adjustment of it how it fits. I had it on the car with no rubbing issues.

forge revving
dont mind my friend's voice that was shootin this vid. the car has been sittin outside for about 45 mins when i got home so the exhaust in this vid isnt loud when its all warmed up. but it isnt that much louder when the car is all warmed up. yes i know that car is dirty, i washed later on and now it sits in the garage all clean over the weekend cuz i'll be outta town. forge accelerating this vid that i took was with my digi cam sittin the passenger seat cuz i didnt want to hold (i didnt have a friend with me to hold the cam) the cam and drive at the same time. g1 accelerating with magnaflow muffler *link fixed* this is the first vid clip that i have made. my friend was holdin the digi cam and couldnt hold still -------------------- sig courtesy of 4Rings Newest mod: custom taillights (thanks ShadY12v), TZ Series South Bend Clutch, PES G1 S/C kit with VDO boost gauge (thanks fussball), S4 injectors, ECS adjustable FPR with gauge, 3" S4 Forge exhaust (thanks Rob), Bell Intercooler, H-Sport Sways, upgraded front sway link and metal rear sway link I finished the S/C install (with the help of 4Rings (good thing I have free long distance on my cell) on some issues that I had)) on November 3, 2005 with about 120,385 miles (didn't exactly write the exact milage down) and I love this car even more! Links work.
I'm glad I've finally heard someone else run a G1 setup. I need a louder exhaust note to balance out the s/c whine. It's loud in 1st gear pulling away but cruising and accelerating it's hardly audible above the usual cabin noise with the CD player on. BTW I have sound absorber sheet on the s/c intake and collector plate as well as under the hood and on the inner side of the fender. I used the standard black stuff that OEMs use. -------------------- '98 Euro 2.8E cabriolet
